Here are the boy names that gained the most popularity

The top ten list of the most common boy’s names in Sweden offered three changes compared to 2022. New on the list are Alfred, Sam and Elias.

One reason why there were a lot of changes on the list of the most popular names is because SCB stopped their lists in 2022.

Instead it is Tax Agency which compiled 2023’s most common names, and unlike Statistics Sweden, the Tax Agency only reports unique spellings. For example, count Carl and Charles as two unique names.
