Here are the best and worst municipalities to live in

Sweden’s best municipality has been named – the residents of Umeå can count themselves lucky. In any case according to Focus which, together with the analysis company Infostat, ranked Sweden’s municipalities based on where it is best to live.

At the bottom of the list, however, is Tanum, followed by Älvdalen and Vansbro.

Nine different main categories are measured and determine how the municipalities place themselves on the list, including education, health care and safety.

The different categories are weighted differently, the most important is personal finance, which accounts for 21 percent of the result. It measures, among other things, how many square meters of villa you can buy for an average teacher’s salary in the municipality.
