Systembolaget responds as follows:
“Yes. From a purely brewing point of view, there is no difference between Christmas beer and Easter beer: both can be cold- or warm-fermented and often belong to a darker, full-bodied malty type of beer that can also be spicy. Just like Christmas beer, Easter beer is not a defined style of beer, although both historically tends to be darker and stronger beers.

Easter beer, however, is often lighter and lower in alcohol content: fish, lamb and eggs dominate the dinner table, and a lighter beer goes better with those dishes. In addition, we prefer to drink lighter drinks in the spring,” they write on their website.
