Here are Sweden’s most attractive employers in 2023

Spotify tops the list as the most attractive employer, a new survey shows.
At the same time, a break in the trend is noticeable where more and more Swedes prioritize higher pay over working climate.
That salary and benefits end up at the top could be an effect of increased inflation in combination with the fact that salary development has not kept up, says Catrine Jack, employer branding expert at Randstad, who is behind the survey.

The award podium for the most attractive workplaces is dominated by three large Swedish companies. The dream workplace is Spotify, which is followed by Ikea and Sweden’s Television. The music giant ranks high when it comes to criteria such as attractive salaries and benefits, something that is more important than ever when choosing a new workplace.

Trend break

The latest survey shows a break in the trend where attractive salary and benefits are the most important things when choosing a new employer. Pleasant working environment, which has had first place since 2017, ends up in second place this year

– The fact that salary and benefits end up at the top may be an effect of increased inflation combined with the fact that salary development has not kept up. Employers will likely have difficulty meeting the increased demands, which makes it even more important to focus on other parts of their offer and to build an attractive employer brand, says Catrine Jack at Randstad.

More people choose Defence

The uncertain global situation is also felt further down the list, as both the Armed Forces and the Armed Forces’ materiel works have entered the list.

– In this year’s survey, both the Armed Forces and the Armed Forces Materiel Works are among the most attractive employers. It can be explained by the fact that we have wars in our world and that they have worked successfully to build their employer brand in recent years.
