It is time for the Hockey World Cup 2025 in Sweden and Denmark. The Swedish national team Tre Kronor comes to the championship at home with high expectations for medal. The last time it became the World Cup bronze, the first Swedish medal since 2018, during the Hockey World Cup 2024 with Sam Hallam as the Swedish Confederation.

When is the hockey World Cup?
The Hockey World Cup in Sweden and Denmark will be decided between May 9 and May 25. Stockholm becomes the main city and takes care of all Sweden’s matches, both semi -finals and also the final. In Denmark, all matches are played in Herning.
Where is the hockey World Cup appear?
Nent Group owns the rights for the Hockey World Cup until 2028. Which means that the World Cup is broadcast on TV3 and TV6 in the TV box and Viaplay Online.

The group play will start on May 9, then there will be quarterfinals on May 22 and semi -finals May 24. On May 25, both the bronze match and finally the World Cup final are played which ends everything.

Sweden’s World Cup squad:
Sweden’s national team squad for the Hockey World Cup has not yet been presented, the players selected will be published later in the spring.
So it went 2024:
The Hockey World Cup is arranged every year and the last time was the 2024 World Cup in the Czech Republic. Then Sweden won all matches until the semi-finals, where it ended against the host nation the Czech Republic with a 3-7 loss. Three Kronor got up in the bronze match and salvaged a World Cup bronze, first blue-yellow medal since 2018.
The last time Sweden arranged a world championship in hockey was 2013. Then it ended with Tre Kronor winning the World Cup gold at home.
