Here, a masked man appears in the middle of the night – with an automatic weapon

First, the family was woken up by the fact that someone had set fire to their villa in Lerum.
Then a masked perpetrator appeared armed with automatic weapons – and opened fire.
The attacks are believed to have been ordered by a teenage boy.

In the middle of the night on October 17 last year, a perpetrator poured flammable liquid on a villa facade in Lerum and lit it on fire.

Luckily, one of the family woke up to the smell of fire smoke and was able to put out the fire together with other residents.

Almost a month later, on the night of November 12, there was another attack on the same villa.

Through surveillance cameras, which TV4 Nyheterna can now show, the family could see how a person armed with an AK-47 automatic carbine appeared on the plot. The gunman, who was masked, walked toward the entrance and then fired shots into the home.

Due to the first attack, the residents were not at home at the time. But according to the prosecutor, a person who was in the room “had been hit by the bullet or shrapnel from the bullet with fatal injuries as a result.”

Tried to smuggle threatening letters

A total of three young people are charged with the double attacks.

An 18-year-old, who was 17 at the time of the crimes, is suspected of having ordered the crime. He is charged with inciting attempted aggravated arson, inciting attempted murder, aggravated weapons offences, aggravated assault and attempted aggravated assault.

According to the prosecutor, he must have given orders, instructions, money, petrol cans and automatic weapons and getaway vehicles to the other two defendants – two 16-year-old boys.

The 16-year-olds are seen as perpetrators and are suspected of attempted arson, attempted murder and aggravated weapons offences.

From inside the detention center, the 18-year-old allegedly tried to smuggle out a letter with instructions for violent crimes against one of the 16-year-olds and another boy, as well as what they would say during an upcoming trial. Detention staff, however, managed to stop the letter.

No clear motive has emerged.

The verdict will be announced next week.
