HERA brings the SCART project to Ecomondo waste becomes Portraits

(Finance) – Il SCART projectborn over 25 years ago, is a concrete project capable of having a positive impact on recovery mentality and reuse. “SCART is the artistic and communication project of HERA Group”explained the project manager Maurizio Gianiadding that all the works are created by students of the academies of Italian fine arts, which only use materials from the Group’s landfills.

“Once they have been presented at Ecomondo – underlines Giani – the works leave to be exhibited in traveling projects throughout Italy. We have exhibited in various cities: Rome, Milan, Pescara”.

Creativity, craftsmanship, reuse and recycling they are the fulcrum that brings together the many artistic personalities who have in common the responsibility and stylistic ability to give a new life to waste materials and waste.

From the vision of young artists are born cycles of works inspired by different themes, from outdoor furniture made from skis or spent golf balls, to monumental sculptures inspired by sports. One of the most recent and successful incarnations of the SCART project is called “Portraits”and is made up, as you might imagine, of a collection of portraits made with industrial waste like clippings of leather, fabrics, metal processing scraps and many other materials.

A first cycle was created for a contemporary exhibition at Venice International Film Festivaland included a collection of portraits of the most famous protagonists of the cinematic worldwhile a new cycle, inspired by world of sport present and past, was presented at the 26th edition of Ecomondo, and in December it will be the protagonist of an exhibition in Pontedera.
