Track curler Henry Manni finished second to last in the T34 class track curling 100 meter final.
Track winder Henry Manni finished third in his own 100 meter heat with a time of 15.74. In the final, the pace was too fast and the Finn finished seventh with a time of 15.64.
– That was my main goal this season and it was enough today for seventh place, Manni said in an interview with Urheilu.
The Finn immediately fell behind his competitors at the start and the front wheel showed off, which slowed things down even more.
The gold was taken by a Thai Chaiwat Rattana with a new Paralympic record of 14.76. The previous record was 14.81. The world record is 14.46.
Silver went to Tunisia and to Walid Ktila (15,14). Canada took the bronze Austin Smeenk (15,19).
Mann’s races in Paris continue, as on Friday the Finn will compete in the heats of the 800 meters of track and field.
– It’s quite a mystery trip and I’m quite far in the ranking. Of course, I already have quite a lot of competitions behind me, and with that also experience. I trust it, 32-year-old Manni said.
Manni is the bronze medalist of the Rio 2016 Paralympics in the T-34 class of track and field 100 meters.
