Earlier this year, Henry Cavill appeared on the big screen in the self-deprecating meta-spy film Argylle. Now his next project has been announced. In The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare he leads one British military special forces unit which operated covertly behind enemy lines during the Second World War.
The film was directed by Guy Ritchie, who recently positioned the gangster series The Gentlemen on Netflix. He has already worked with Cavill on Codename UNCLE. The new film looks like they have their own version of Inglourious Basterds turned. Even Til Schweiger is there.

Schweiger isn’t the only well-known co-star to appear alongside Cavill. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare scores with an illustrious cast, from Eiza González (3 Body Problem) to Alan Ritchson (Reacher) and Henry Golding (Last Christmas). Even Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike, Stormbreaker) is included.

Pettyfer spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the filming of the film and, above all, the Collaboration with Cavill. He has nothing but praise for his British colleague: “He brings a humility to the set that inspires everyone.” Additionally, Pettyfer reveals that Cavill saved him from drowning.
Specifically, Pettyfer says:
[Henry Cavill] saved me from falling off a boat. I almost drowned! So I can officially say I was saved by Henry. And I’m very grateful to be able to star in this film with you. At least one major scene was hinted at in the trailer for The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, which takes place on the high seas. However, Pettyfer doesn’t want to reveal exactly what Ritchie’s team filmed there.
When does The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare start in cinemas?
Although the stars are already promoting the film, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is here no cinema release yet. The new Guy Ritchie film will be released in the USA on April 19, 2024. In the meantime, we still have to be patient.
