It’s no secret that big Hollywood stars have a lavish sum in their bank accounts. But that wasn’t always the case. Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill revealed what they bought with their first larger salaries on the Graham Norton Show.
Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill are basically work colleagues. The latter appeared together with Cruise in “Mission Impossible: Fallout” and, among other things, had a memorable fight in a toilet, complete with reloading fists. Fans will remember.
Of course, both Cruise and Cavill were not always the stars they are today. Before big roles like Ethan Hunt or Superman, they baked smaller rolls.
By the way, Henry Cavill has turned his back on his popular role as Geralt of Rivia. The director has her own thoughts on this.
On The Graham Norton Show, a British comedy talk show, host Graham Norton asked both Cruise and Cavill about their first big salaries. Specifically: what they bought with it. The answers from the two couldn’t be more different. Tom Cruise’s in particular makes his colleague seem like an egotist.

Tom Cruise stars Henry Cavill
What did the two of them buy? Henry Cavill starts off and talks about how he bought a new car with his first big fee. And not just any one. It was an Aston Martin DBS, one of the cars driven by, among others, James Bond in the film “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. The new price of the car is currently 242,400 – 272,913 EUR (via AutoBild).
No small feat for the wallet, but with support from his father, Cavill was able to afford the car. Incidentally, it was the father who preferred to do his rounds in his son’s car.
However, Tom Cruise invested his money in a completely different way. He used it to pay for his sister’s college education. Shortly afterwards, he also bought a car, but again not for himself, but for his other sister.
Here you can see the excerpt from the show:
That’s why Henry Cavill looked stupid in the humorous discussion group. Compared to the generous nature of Tom Cruise, the “Witcher” actor seemed, to put it bluntly, like an egotist. His answer caused laughter in the group. Or as Simon Pegg, who was also present on the talk show, put it: “That’s so typical of him (Cruise)”. It’s not the only time Henry Cavill has had to explain himself on the Graham Norton show.
Tom Cruise appeared last summer in the seventh installment of the still popular “Mission Impossible” series. Henry Cavill will appear in an upcoming Warhammer 40,000 film adaptation.
Are you fans of the two actors? Last but not least, Henry Cavill is also a big video game fan and prefers to assemble his own PC.
