Which has attracted enormous criticism throughout the golf world.
Now the Swedish golf star Henrik Stenson breaks the silence after all the controversies that have been.
A year ago took Henrik Stenson the forbidden step over to the Saudi-funded and reviled LIV tour. It led to an enormous storm of criticism against the Swede and several ended collaborations as a result.

Now the Swedish golf star breaks his silence and opens up for the first time about the controversial merger.
– Surely no one knows more than that they have sat down, which I personally hoped for two years ago. Rather than doing it now considering everything that has happened these two years, but better late than never. We have to find cooperation habits and make sure that we pull in the same direction, says Stenson in an interview with Ola Wenströms own television channel WTV.

“I’m disappointed”
Despite the news that the tours have come to an agreement, there is really nothing that has united the golf world in agreement right away.
– It is absolutely not. But it feels like some hatchets are buried for the future. It is too early to guess where we will end up but it is big news in the big picture. As always when there have been conflicts, there are certain things that have been said and done that are not forgotten in the first place, admits Henrik Stenson in the interview that you can see below.

When the Swede switched to the LIV tour, he lost his role as captain of the European team in the Ryder Cup. Which made him very disappointed and if the tours had agreed earlier it could have changed a lot.
– It probably would have, but it’s no use crying over spilled milk. I was extremely disappointed that the leaders could not have discussed earlier and that it has gone this far. But that was not our decision. We have made our choices and live with them, says Stenson and tells us more about his thoughts for the Ryder Cup, see the full interview below.
– I’m not in a position to demand anything, we’ll see how it lands. Many of the players in LIV have meant a lot over the years to Europe in the Ryder Cup and can hopefully continue to contribute in the future.
