Henrik Lundqvist inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame – the new tribute film to the icon will give you goosebumps

Henrik Lundqvist is inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Then he is celebrated – with the most powerful video we’ve ever seen.
We promise it will give you goosebumps.

After being suddenly forced to end his hockey career due to a discovered heart defect, this year’s induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame was Henrik Lundqvist’s first opportunity to be inducted. And there were many who guessed that this would be the case.

The biggest receipt

He certainly never won a Stanley Cup, but few goaltenders in NHL history have more wins, and add to that that Lundqvist won basically everything else that can be won: the Vezina Trophy, and more heavy titles with Three Crowns. And very true it was. Last year, Henrik and Daniel Sedan, as well as Daniel Alfredsson were selected into the exclusive company, and on Wednesday night they were joined by another Swede.

Lundqvist was, along with a number of other icons, inducted into the 2023 edition of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

– It is very honourable. Just like when I had the jersey hoisted into the ceiling at Madison Square Garden, this is a sign that you’ve done something good. Another thing that I value very much, says Henrik Lundqvist.

Incredible tribute video

In addition to his efforts on the ice, Henrik Lundqvist is one of the most universally liked people in hockey, and it always has been. He is perhaps the New York Rangers’ greatest of all time – and in connection with the announcement of the Hall of Fame, the club chose to pay tribute to its iconic goalkeeper in its very own way: Through one of the most powerful videos we’ve seen.

The Rangers posted a tribute video on social media summarizing Lundqvist’s greatest moments during and after his career. It contains great moments, but also incredibly sweaty saves – and it’s hard not to get goosebumps watching it. Talk about well-deserved for our perhaps greatest goalkeeper of all time. Congratulations, Henke!
