Landerholm is 59 years old and has previously also been rector of the Defense Academy and Sweden’s ambassador to Latvia and the United Arab Emirates.

His first task will be to propose how a national security council, and a support unit for it, should be built up in the cabinet preparation of Prime Minister Ulf Kristerssons (M).
