Defender Henri Jokiharju gave the Buffalo Sabers a 3–2 overtime victory over the Minnesota Wild in the ice hockey NHL. The winning goal came after about a minute and a half of extra time had been played.
In addition, Jokiharju registered an assist point Casey Mittelstadt to the opening goal. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen saved the Sabers with a goal a total of 30 times.
The Florida Panthers rolled to a 9–2 away win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Panthers’ away win streak is now 11 games long. The league record is 12 consecutive away wins, achieved by the Detroit Red Wings and the Minnesota Wild.
They became the guarantors of the Panthers’ victory Matthew Tkachuk and Sam Bennettwho each scored two goals and assisted two.
In the meeting between the Florida clubs, plenty of penalties were handed out. No fewer than 14 usage penalties were handed out in the third period. The Panthers, among others, got ten minutes Anton Lundell and Niko Mikkola.
Auston Matthews celebrated another hat trick
