Henna Virkkuses will be the EU Commissioner responsible for technology, security and democracy | Foreign countries

Eleven of the commissioners are women.

MEP Henna from Virkkus (collective) is to become the vice-president of the EU Commission responsible for technological sovereignty, security and democracy. The chairman of the commission announced the matter Ursula von der Leyen.

As the Commission’s first defense commissioner, Von der Leyen proposes Lithuania Andrius Kubilius.

The European Parliament still has to approve the nominations of the commissioners-designate.
