Helsingin Jokerit ry denies that the limited company represented by Teemu Selänte would have been suitable for it as a partner. There is a valid agreement with Jari Kurri’s company about the club’s trademark.

Helsingin Jokerit ry is the club’s junior organization, which owns the name and logo of the Jokers. According to Ry’s press release, it still has a valid contract for the Jokerit trademark Jari Kurrin with owned Jokerit Hockey Club Oy.
– The contract has not expired in the spring, as has been presented in the media, the announcement says.
– Ry has held discussions with various groups about the future of the Jokers and, referring to the past, directed groups to conduct negotiations primarily Jari Kurrin Jokerit with Hockey Club Oy.
Helsingin Jokerit ry denies that the company represented by Selänte would not have been suitable for it as a partner. Chairman of Naurava Narri Oy Keijo Säilynoja told Urheilu that no explanation was given for the failure of the negotiations.
– We are not aware of the decision-making bases of the Helsingin Jokerit ry, the issues affecting the decision-making or the decision-making process in general, Säilynoja said.
– Even though the discussions ended without results, at Ry we do not rule out the possibility that the company’s background people could play a role in the future of the Jokers, the association’s press release stated.
