Diablo Immortal offers raids like any decent MMO. The raids are designed for 8 players and offer special rewards. However, you must first unlock the feature – via the Reliquary of Hell. MeinMMO explains what you need to know.
What is the Reliquary of Hell? The Helliquary is an item that you must collect. The mythical item is said to capture and seal the souls of powerful demons.
In Diablo Immortal, the reliquary is used to open raids where you can face off with 8 players against a special boss every week. In addition, the reliquary can be strengthened to provide you with special buffs.
Why should I use it? The Reliquary of Hell upgrades are designed to strengthen your character. On the one hand you will receive a buff for your combat rating and on the other hand a strengthening especially in challenge portals.
In order to get the rewards, however, you must first obtain the reliquary and then upgrade it. We reveal how it all works.
Here’s everything you need to know about Diablo Immortal in 3 minutes:
Obtain and use the Reliquary of Hell
Where can I get the Helliquary? The quest line for the Reliquary of Souls starts around level 45. You will receive a quest from Deckard Cain after completing the story in Foulmarsh, which will lead you to the barbarian blacksmith Rayek. Rayek shows you his invention, the Reliquary of Souls. In a short quest line you will be introduced to its function:
The vision is repeated there, this time you are supposed to face off against the Chaos Herald Pyl. Defeat the boss and you’ll face Lassal, the game’s first real raid boss. You succumbed, but then unlocked the Hell Reliquary feature.
How do I start raids? In order to compete against Lassal and later other raid bosses, you have to put together a group of up to 8 players. Although the bosses should also go solo, you actually need a group.
To do this, go to the Einfrinn Tree in central Westmarch and interact with the Reliquary of Hell there. There you first choose a difficulty, which already shows you which combat rating you should have for this. Select Looting or Troop Looting to start the search.
You will then come to a menu in which you can either search for open groups or create your own. Join other players or open a group and invite friends. Optionally, you can wait for your raid to fill up on its own.
If you have enough players together, you can start. Your first encounter will probably be Lassal, the game’s first available boss. The fight takes place in a small room and only against Lassal himself.
Defeat bosses and upgrade the reliquary
How to defeat the bosses: Bosses have more abilities than regular enemies or “packs” in Diablo Immortal. Lassal, for example, attacks you with a flame arc, a fire beam and bombs that detonate on different players.
Unlike in the open world or in dungeons, you need more consultation and possibly the right classes to support you. Crusaders, Monks, and Necromancers are useful for keeping the party alive.

In the weeks and months after the release, more and more bosses come into the reliquary that you can defeat. Known so far:
For some of these bosses, however, you must first upgrade the reliquary. You need a special material for this: Hellfire Scoria.
How to upgrade the Helliquary: For the upgrade you have to have regular Scoria refined by a blacksmith for a fee of 100 gold per unit. You get Scoria by defeating Reliquary Demons, in the Battle Pass or in the paid part of the Path of the Prodigy.
Each upgrade of the reliquary costs you more Scoria, but also gives you a higher combat rating. You’ll also unlock slots where you can seal demonic remnants.
The remains are special loot from Reliquary Demons and further increase your combat rating. They also increase certain character stats while you are in challenge portals.
By the way, the Reliquary of Hell isn’t the only way to visit raids. The Immortals, the bosses of the server, even get a raid for 48 players:
