Materials you can get there, among other things:
What you should know about the event and how to use the Helltide efficiently, you can find out here.
Diablo 4: Hellflood – All information
What is the Helltide? This is a time-limited region event that is available from World Tier 1. Certain regions of Diablo 4’s open world are affected by the Hell Flood and you can collect Anomalous Embers here.
You can spend embers on “Tormented Gifts”. These are special boxes that are only available during and within the event. These boxes cost different amounts of embers and show you what type of equipment is contained using a symbol on the box.
On world levels 1 and 2 you will only find chests that cost 100 embers. They contain Forgotten Souls, Legendaries, Uniques and, like all chests, Oboluses, which you can exchange for items at a merchant.
At world levels 3 and 4 there are also chests without equipment binding and this is where the good stuff is actually in. The mysterious chests cost 250 embers and offer the best yield: several legendaries and/or uniques for different equipment slots and angel’s breath, which you need for crafting potions.
In addition, there are new boxes since Season 2 that cost 275 embers. Here you get 5x Living Steel, which you can use to summon Uber Duriel. From him you get Uber Uniques with an increased chance.
How often does the flood of hell occur? The Helltide event runs every hour on the hour for 55 minutes and starts in a random area. When it ends, there is a short break of 5 minutes and then we start again. During this time you can empty your inventory, sort chests, sell loot and dismantle it.
How many boxes can you take with you? This depends on the region and how much embers you collect during that time. In many areas there are 8-9 chests that you can open once you have collected enough embers.
Since there are usually only one or two 250 crates in a region during the event, it’s worth picking up the crate first and then the smaller ones. If you need “Living Steel”, you first pick up the 275 box. But you also get 1 steel from all other chests and sometimes as a drop from elite enemies.
Diablo 4: Inferno – Collecting Anomalous Embers
What is the fastest way to collect Anomalous Embers? Through elite opponents and events. The embers are dropped by enemies, you have to pick them up. Rotate through the active area, running from one open world event to the next. You can recognize events by the orange circle on the mini-map.
After an event, run to the next possible location and eliminate large groups of monsters along the way. If you spot an elite enemy, it’s also worth getting off your horse. You can recognize the elite enemies on the mini-map by a skull symbol.
Important: When you die, you lose half of your embers. It also makes no difference if you are revived.
What should you pay attention to? Here are a few tips for your hell ride:
Diablo 4: Threat Level and “Cursed Ritual”
What is the threat level? The more monsters you slaughter and the more gifts/boxes you open, the more your “threat” increases. At maximum threat, assassins appear from ambush and target you.
As soon as your threat increases, the game will inform you with a message that says something like: “The forces of evil are getting angry.” When the threat bar is completely full, the elite enemy “Hellblood” appears. If you defeat him, your threat will be depleted. You can get legendaries and various boss mats from them.
What is the ritual all about? With doom hearts that you find in tortured gifts, you can also start a new event, the “Cursed Ritual,” for a boss fight and loot. You can find the symbol for the Cursed Ritual on the map during the Helltide. There are three pedestals there that you can put doom hearts into. Of course, the more people take part, the more worthwhile it is.
As soon as you have activated the ritual, monster mobs spawn and finally the Blood Maiden, a boss with strong fire attacks. Be sure to avoid them well, because if you fall, you will lose half of your embers. During the ritual, the boss spawns more elite enemies. And as your threat meter fills up, assassins and hellborn will spawn there too – it can get pretty chaotic.
Diablo 4: Hellflood – That’s why it’s worth it
The Helltide events are extremely strong, especially after moving to a new world tier. You can get items with high item power and take lots of new “Holy” or “Legacy” equipment with you.
But even apart from the loot, the events are essential for your build, because here you can get Angel Breath, Devil Roses and Forgotten Souls. You need this to improve and customize your equipment. In addition, you can get various materials here that you need to summon the bosses.
