Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten have to return to the playing field soon.
Finnish tennis star Harri Heliövaara on the semi-final day of the ATP tournament in Stockholm, his British partner had to make a late shift of Henry Patten with, but the duo claimed a place in the final match of the doubles in the last hours of the evening.
Heliövaara and Patten knocked down the Dutch pair in their semi-final Tallon’s Griekspoor and Bart Stevens 7–5, 4–6, 10–7. The match didn’t start until 22:30 Finnish time and ended a little after midnight. Griekspoor had missed the match in the singles semi-final before the match, which delayed the start of the doubles even more.
Heliövaara and Patten have to return to the playing field soon, because the four-game final of the tournament starts at 1:30 PM Finnish time on Sunday. The Finnish-British pair will face the Czech Republic in the final match Petr Nouzan and Patrik Riklin.
The Czechs will get a rest advantage for the match, as the first semi-final of the doubles game already started on Saturday at 1 pm. For Heliövaara and Patten, it is already the sixth ATP final of the year.
