Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten They lost the dramatic final in the Dubai ATP500 Tournament doubles. Indian Yuki Bhambri and Australian Alexei Popyrin Won the final 3-6, 7-6 (14-12), 10-8.

The Finnish-British duo had four match balls in the second round. In the third round, Bhambri and Popyrin led 9-5 again. Heliövaara and Popyrin made three match balls, but the fourth Popyr was fed by Ace.

The match saw quite a lot of feeding. In the opening round, Bhambr’s feed was broken once and was enough to win.

At the beginning of the second round, Patten’s feed was broken, but in the middle of the round the situation leveled off as the poppy feed broke.

Heliövaara lost his feed in a score of 3-4, so Popyr was able to feed the wins. However, the Finnish-British duo broke the hard-hitting Australian again, and the solution eventually went to Tiebreak.

Popyrin is 27th in the singles world list, but he has hardly invested in a quadruple. Bhambri is ranked 44 in the doubles game.

Heliövaara and Patten continued to approach the top of the list this week. Patten is still third and Heliövaara is fourth.

Heliövaara and Patten are used to the dramatic finals. They won the Wimbledon finals last summer and in January in January after a really steady battle.

Heliövaara has nine ATP tournament wins. This would have gone to the top of them. There are two Grand Slam tournament wins, at the next level, or masters. In the ATP500, the Dubai Tournament category, Heliövaara has one race win. The remaining six are from ATP250 tournaments.
