There is a fire in the forest north of Tierp.
The fire must be as big as a football field and the fire is waterbombed with helicopters, reports UNT.
– It is not a fire under control, says Åsa Sköld, the rescue service’s command operator.
The fire was discovered at 1 pm by a forest worker outside Skärplinge, north of Tierp. The fire can spread, but according to the rescue service, there are no buildings nearby.
– It is approximately 50 by 100 meters that is on fire, in the middle of the forest, says a management operator at rescue services who states that it is quite difficult to access the fire area.
The emergency services expect to be on the scene until 5 p.m., but the forecast may change.
