Hekendorp primary school Goejanverwelle disappears but the memories remain The
It’s a lot of fun in the Hekendorp primary school. About 250 former students of OBS Goejanverwelle will meet one more time today at their old school, which closed its doors last year. “I came to school in 1943,” says Frits. “The school was three houses away, so I always came to school alone. That was just possible then.” The brothers Joop and Arie also have warm memories of their school days. “It was a wonderful school. Everyone in the village went there. It may have been a small village school with 65 pupils, but I received a very good education,” says Joop.
