Hedwig has not built anything and therefore the municipality sees her legakker as one plot. So she can only set up one house. While the people who have built several houses end up on more lots. “This came completely out of the blue for us, and is unacceptable,” Hedwig responds. She believes that people who followed the rules are disadvantaged in this way. “This is completely unjust. If you’ve waited nicely all these years, haven’t done anything illegal – that you’re actually paying the price for whitewashing all the illegal structures that have been put up over the years.”
