The Spanish Meteorological Institute AEMET has again issued a heavy rain warning for the eastern and southern parts of the country.
The red, i.e. the highest warning level, is valid until noon on Thursday, for example in parts of the Valencia region.
In addition, the warning was also issued on Monday to the provinces of Malaga and Tarragona, among others.
Rainfall amounts of up to 180 millimeters have been predicted for the areas during a 12-hour period.
Wednesday’s warnings come just two weeks after devastating flash floods caused by heavy rain killed more than 200 people across Spain.
