    According to the rescue service, several people were on board the train.

    – One person was inside the locomotive and some people were in a wagon, says Mats Sjöland at the rescue service.

    The train belongs to the association SKÅJ and was on its way to the locomotive shed after a Christmas dinner was served at the central station in Krylbo in the train’s restaurant.

    – We can be happy that people are alive, says Tony Söderlund, representative of SKÅJ, to Avesta newspaper.

    The social media platform Tiktok is turning to a federal appeals court in the United States with a plea to delay new legislation that could require the company to be banned in the country. The same federal court last week rejected a request by Tiktok to overturn the law on a possible ban.

    Tiktok has appealed the verdict to the US Supreme Court and now wants the new law to be postponed until HD takes up the case.

    The current law, which was passed in April, states that Tiktok must be sold to an American owner no later than January 19 of next year. If the platform continues under Chinese ownership, it will be banned.

    A Swedish man active as a lawyer in Spain is convicted of having embezzled approximately ten million kroner in real estate deals in the mainly Spanish city of Marbella.

    – He has received purchase money and then he has not carried out the deals, in short he kept the money himself, says prosecutor Nathalie Müntzing at the Ecocrime Authority.

    He received the money when, in his role as a lawyer, he undertook to buy or sell properties for Swedes between the years 2020 and 2023. He was sentenced on Monday by the Södertörn district court to 4.5 years in prison for gross embezzlement against a number of affected plaintiffs.

    The man left the Swedish Bar Association in 2019 when he joined the Spanish equivalent and has not been active in Sweden since then.
