– When we arrived, the terraced house’s attic was fully on fire, says Henrik Dewoon-Thoren, officer on duty at the rescue service.
There is a fully developed fire in one of the apartments in the house. The emergency services are now working to contain the fire and ensure that it does not spread to surrounding buildings.
– We don’t have it under control.
The affected townhouse and a townhouse next to it have been evacuated, a total of ten apartments. No one is said to have been injured in connection with the fire.
– People must have gone out on their own, says Henrik Dewoon-Thoren.
The emergency services expect to work at the scene throughout the night into Monday.
