At 19.36 on Monday evening, an alarm came in about a fire in a two-storey building with four apartments.
– There is a risk of spreading to the entire house, but four stations with cables are in place, says the cable operator at Räddningscentral Mitt.
A man in his 70s suffered burns and was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. The man must have been awake and talkative. According to the rescue service, another person is also missing.
The police have opened a preliminary investigation into aggravated arson because crime cannot be ruled out. No one is currently in custody.
Shortly after 10 p.m., a decision was made by the emergency services to let the house burn down. The work was instead focused on ensuring that the fire could not spread to nearby properties.
