There is a heavy fire in an apartment building in Malmö.
The fire is believed to have started in an apartment – and now flames are shooting out of the ceiling.
– All residents are evacuated, says Linus Steffensen, commanding officer of the rescue service.

The emergency services are currently working to put out a heavy fire in an apartment building in Malmö. The fire is said to have started in an apartment and then spread up into the roof structure.

– It is a fully developed fire. It has gone through the roof and we are working both internally and externally, says Linus Steffensen.

Ambulance on site

The alarm came in at 4 p.m. and a large number of units are on site at the apartment building.

– We have five stations on site and two response leaders from the rescue service, says Linus Steffensen.

There are no reports of injured people.

– We have an ambulance on site, but no one has been taken away, he says.

There is a risk of the fire spreading to other apartments in the multi-family building, but not to any other building nearby.
