A recycling factory in Värnamo is on fire and a VMA, an important message to the public, has been sent out.
Several media reports that large amounts of plastic are burning and that the smoke is unhealthy.
“There is initial information that people are heading towards the fire scene. It is not recommended for two reasons: The smoke is suspected to be unhealthy and that rescue resources should not be obstructed on their way,” the police write on their website.
Police and emergency services urge everyone in the area to go indoors and close doors, windows and ventilation.
