There is a fire at a waste facility in Strängnäs and a heavy and toxic smoke means that a VMA, an important message to the public, has been issued, reports SR P4 Sörmland.
The rescue leader urges everyone in the area to go indoors and close doors, windows and ventilation.
According to SVT Sörmland, there are about 20 firefighters on site to put out the fire that should have started in a rubbish heap.
– It is a major fire in a rubbish heap but it is about 15 meters to the nearest building so there is no danger of it spreading, says the alarm operator at the rescue service Mälardalen to SVT Sörmland.
