Heavy explosions in Damascus

Heavy explosions have been heard in Damascus during the evening.
– There have been constant air raids all day. In the last hour in the evening, there have been at least five to six explosions. You can hear attack aircraft flying at low altitude over Damascus, says Kassem Hamadé, on the ground in Damascus.

– These are Israeli attack planes, says Kassem Hamadé.

– Here in Damascus they have attacked the research center, abandoned by the regime, several military facilities, a couple of helicopter bases, several weapons depots and bases for the Fourth Division.

Now there are also reports that the rebels will withdraw from Damascus.

– The situation is stable. I was told that several of the rebel troops are to be withdrawn from Damascus during the night to their bases in Idlib where they came from when the offensive began.

This comes after a meeting between the regime’s prime minister, who has agreed with the opposition to hand over power peacefully, and the transitional government’s new prime minister, who was previously prime minister in Idlib.

– Both prime ministers met together with the HTS leader. They met in Damascus and agreed that the armed forces should leave Damascus soon and that the police work should begin here, for law and order to be applied, says Kassem Hamadé.

He continues:

– On the whole, things are stable here. Curfew still applies. It is between four in the afternoon and five in the morning.
