At least two people have died as a result of heavy downpours in Beijing, according to state media in China. The storm has prompted the Chinese capital to introduce the highest level of flood and landslide warnings.
The downpour has been caused by Typhoon Doksuri, which has been lashing northern China since Friday and has caused rivers to overflow. Roads have ended up under water and cars and tree branches have been washed away.
The Mentougou district in Beijing has been particularly hard hit.
– I am old but I have never seen floods like this before in my life, says Qin Quan who lives in the area.
The nearby city of Tianjin has also issued a flood warning.
