A powerful explosion occurred during the night at a villa in Bohus in Ale municipality, north of Gothenburg.
No one was injured, but according to police, both the villa and a car parked outside were damaged.
– It seems as if someone tried to throw something against a window, but that the object bounced back and ended up next to a car and detonated, says Hans-Jörgen Ostler, press spokesperson at the police.
Exactly what exploded is still unclear.
– It has not been determined yet, but it may be something with similar detonation power as a hand grenade, says Hans-Jörgen Ostler.
This is the second explosion in a short time in Bohus. On the night before Monday last week, a larger hole was blown in a front door to a villa nearby.
– It is not possible to rule out that there is a connection, but it is too early to say that there is one as well, says Hans-Jörgen Ostler.
