In southern Sweden, Sunday’s prices are around SEK 2, which is slightly lower than Saturday’s price in SE4 (Malmö) and marginally higher than in SE3 (Stockholm).

The fact that the prices in southern Sweden are so low, compared to 4-5 kroner per kilowatt-hour in the week, is due to the fact that prices generally go down on the weekend when consumption is lower.

Earlier this week, electricity prices rose following the announcement that the Ringhals 4 nuclear reactor will not be able to be started as planned after the summer’s annual maintenance.

The prices shown are exclusive of network charges.
