Four men are indicted on suspicion of, among other things, attempted murder, serious weapons crime and serious drug crime, and are all said to have been involved in various ways in several of the attempted murders and other serious crimes that characterized Kalmar during 2022 and 2023.

In the center is a 26-year-old man from Kalmar who previously belonged to the so-called Norrliden network, but who after a conflict broke away from the network and became the leader of what the police call “the phalanx”.

He is suspected of having directed and coordinated a number of murder plans in Kalmar and Sundsvall from his temporary residence in Spain.
Those involved deny
During the first day of the trial, prosecutor Johan Henningsson described the chain of events of murders, shootings and attempted murders between rival gangs in Kalmar that took place during 2022 and the beginning of 2023.
The trial is expected to last a total of 21 days and all defendants deny the majority of all charges.
