(Finance) – L ‘London airport of Heathrowmade unjustible at the beginning of the day by a blackout caused by a fire that broke out in an electrical sub made of North Hyde, in the west of London, was able to plan the resumption of flights only in the late afternoon, giving priority to the repositioning of the aircraft.
The first British Airways flights to have been authorized to operate, starting from 19 hours in London, are those directed to Johannesburg, Singapore, Riad, Cape Town, Sydney and Buenos Aires.
The direction of the important London airport made it clear that the return to normal will be gradual and should be completed on Saturday 22nd.
In addition to restoring full operation and punctuality of flights, it is working with airlines to allow the return of passengers diverted to other European airports.
Following the Blackout which caused the closure of the airport, around 1,350 flights were canceled, involving 300 thousand passengers.
