Heat Risk Checks, 40% of Companies Are Not in Compliance

Heat wave coming to Italy temperatures 12 degrees above normal

(Telestock) – Of the 736 companies inspected in the first ten days of August, approximately 40% had not assessed or implemented specific prevention measures against heat. This is the result of the checks by the National Labor Inspectorate, engaged from the end of July to the end of August in an extraordinary surveillance campaign to monitor work-related risks related to exposure to heat.

The agency is examining some sectors considered to be at greater risk: construction sites (457 companies inspected), road construction sites (70 companies), agriculture (181 companies) and horticultural sector (28 companies).

Among the most significant violations the failure to assess the microclimate risk but also the lack of verification of the suitability of the POS (Safety Operations Plan).
