(Finance) – Il TAR of Lazio he suspended the decree of the Ministry of Health, which established the new tariffs for healthcare services (exams and outpatient visits). The decree, which also includes the updating of the LEAswas published in the Official Journal last November 26 and should have come into force today.
With this decision, the TAR has the precautionary request was accepted presented by trade associations, representatives of the sector of laboratories and accredited private clinics, who challenged the measure because the new ones rates are considered too low or lower than the previous ones and often they don’t even recover the cost of the service.
The Court, in accepting the associations’ request, established thelack of urgencyas the new tariff decree “was adopted after over 20 years from previous nomenclators”.
With the postponement of the decree, the entry into force of the new LEAs is also postponedthe essential levels of assistance, i.e. the services that the national health service must necessarily provide to all citizens free of charge and which are also provided by accredited entities, in return for compensation with a tariff recognized by the NHS. LEA that they should have be in force from 2017since the last update of the tariffs took place in 1996.
The postponement of the new tariffs will create unacceptable delaysfor the old benefits that were waiting to be re-evaluated and for the new ones, which will not be covered until the decree is applied. In addition, organizational chaos loomssince many local health authorities had already updated their software with the new tariffs.
The council chamber for the collegial discussion of the decree has been set for next January 28th.
