Healthcare system names new president and CEO

The Brant Community Healthcare System has a new president and Chief Executive Officer.
Bonnie Camm will move into the healthcare system’s top position on March 25.
“I am truly honored to join the Brant Community Healthcare System as President & CEO,” Camm said in a statement announcing her appointment. “I am excited to work collaboratively with the dedicated team at BCHS to continue delivering high-quality and patient-centered health care services to the community.
“Together, we will navigate the challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead, ensuring a healthier and more vibrant future for all.”
Camm joins the healthcare system from Grand River Hospital where she is the executive vice-president and chief operating officer in clinical services. Prior to joining Grand River Hospital, Camm held executive and leadership positions at William Osler Health System and University Health Network.
Camm earned a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy and an Honors Bachelor of Arts in physical education from Western University. She is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
Camm brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to the position and is poised to contribute her extensive knowledge and leadership skills to hospitals, a statement from the healthcare system said.
“Her proven record of success in healthcare administration, coupled with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the healthcare landscape, aligns seamlessly with BCHS’s mission of working together to build a healthier community,” the statement said.
Camm has demonstrated a strong commitment to patient-centered care, operational excellence, and the cultivation of a collaborative and inclusive organizational culture throughout her career, the statement said.
“Her strategic vision aligns seamlessly with the goals of BCHS, and the board is confident that under her leadership, the hospital will continue to thrive and excel in delivering exceptional healthcare services to the community,” the healthcare system said.
Camm replaces Erin Sleeth, who was named interim president and CEO after former president and CEO David McNeil retired.

Sleeth will remain with the healthcare system as the vice-president human resources and chief human resources officer.
