The lung cancer was discovered in April 2023 when the patient again sought care – this time for shortness of breath, cough and involuntary weight loss.
Region Sörmland states in its lex Maria notification to the Inspectorate for Care and Care, Ivo, that the patient has missed an early treatment for the cancer that would have had an impact on the disease’s prognosis.
The patient is undergoing ongoing treatment for his lung cancer.
