The Brant County Health Unit on Monday reported 26 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 72 hours.
There are now 52 active cases in Brantford and Brant, with seven people hospitalized for treatment of the virus.
Since the pandemic began more than two years ago, there have been 10,120 confirmed cases of coronavirus. Of those 9,998 have been resolved, while the deaths of 70 people have been attributed to the virus.
On the vaccination front, 335,736 total doses of vaccine have been administered at vaccination clinics in Brantford-Brant, as well as physician offices and pharmacies.
To date, 12,696 fourth doses have been given to immunocompromised individuals, along with residents of retirement homes and long-term care facilities.
Outbreaks that remain ongoing include Kayorie Manor in Brantford (May 24; 18 residents, three staff), Rosewood House (May 18; four residents and one staff), and Brierwood Gardens (May 17, two residents).
Public Health Ontario on Monday reported 547 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 across the province, a drop from 878 reported Sunday.
One death was also reported Monday, down from two on the previous day.
Over the course of the pandemic, there have been 1,302,443 confirmed cases in Ontario. Of those, 1,278,464 have been resolved, while the death toll stands at 13,226.
