(Finance) – “The concept of prevention must become part of all of us’s daily lives, it must become a lifestyle to be instilled in young people too. Concept understood as a beneficial process through which we keep ourselves safe from those diseases which, if caught in time and addressed in the bud, are less scary and cured. Prevention and access to primary care for an increasingly larger number of people is an inalienable right to allow everyone to benefit from their health.” They are the words of Eraldo TuriPresident of the ODCEC of Naples, who spoke during the conference ‘Profession and Prevention: Together for Health – Prevention and Well – being for the health of the Professional‘promoted by’Order of accountants and accounting experts of Naplesnow in its fourth edition, in collaboration with the Order of Journalists of Campania and the Italian Relief Corps of the Order of Malta.
“Health is a primary good – he said Antonella The door (president of the Equal Opportunities Committee of the ODCEC of Naples) – and is deeply felt by professionals. The time dedicated to your well-being is precious and has a double value as it avoids the negative impact on the social system and on the entire national health system and protects the internal organization of the practice. Which is why prevention is better than cure, an even more valuable concept for accountants and professionals in general.”
Second Gaetano Motta(director of the ENT Clinic at UniCampania) “Prevention has enormous significance on a clinical and social level. It must meet three needs: the individual, society and health spending. There is no doubt that primary risk factors are very important in prevention to prevent most cancers. Prevention also exposes one to media risks, if the information is wrong and if there is no transparency. I remember, for example, all the information errors that occurred following Covid. Correct information prevents all this.”
Prevention also understood as a sporting activity characterized the intervention of Beatrice Walkways (director of the School of Specialization in Anesthesia and Resuscitation at UniCampania): “Lobek pain is the main cause of disability in the world with the consequence of years eroding social life but above all working life with removal from the workplace and in the case of young people, a reduction in career expectations. This must make us understand how important prevention is at all ages, not only with respect to this pathology, which exists in the acute and chronic forms. Prevention also understood as a sporting activity that strengthens the muscular structures but also activities that relax the mind”.
To underline the need for prevention too Lucky Ciardiello (Professor of Medical Oncology of the “Vanvitelli” University) “As far as cancer is concerned, 40 percent of tumors would be avoidable if we made the best use of prevention tools. Starting from the simplest ones such as avoiding smoking of all types of cigarettes, having an appropriate diet and avoiding obesity which represents a predisposing cause for many chronic diseases and tumors. Also periodically necessary are oncological screenings which allow the disease to be identified at an early stage”.
For Sandra Frojo (president of the board of dentists of Naples) “We can now talk about traditional prevention and prevention 4.0 linked to new technologies. Specialists must increasingly train to have a relationship with patients that can take place through telemedicine which complements the cornerstones of traditional prevention which naturally continues to be our North Star”.
The double value of prevention has been underlined by Roberto Sanseverino (director of the Department of General Surgery – Urology of the ASL Salerno) who highlighted: “Prevention on the one hand offers the possibility of intercepting the disease early in the clinical course and consequently increasing the possibilities of treatment for the patient, on the other it reduces the expense of often expensive treatments. Diagnosing the disease at an early stage also reduces the commitment of the national health service in terms of diagnostic and therapeutic burden”.
Satisfied with the success of the initiative Fabiana Di Lauro (national president of Fiddoc) “All the rooms of the Order in the Piazza dei Martiri headquarters were transformed into clinics where doctors carried out free screening and consultations. We insist a lot on prevention, a disease caught in time can be cured. Even for young people, prevention is crucial to saving lives.”
Emanuela of Naples Pignatelli (scientific communicator) emphasized the importance of “exporting the culture of prevention through innovative formats”.
