Among general practitioners, nurses and pharmacists, everything is in place to ensure that this new vaccination campaign goes well.
In Paris, in the Moderne Vaugirard pharmacy located in the 15th arrondissement, everything is in place for this recall campaign. Emmanuelle Smadja, pharmacist at the pharmacy, received the vaccines two days ago: “ What I received was the Pfizer vaccine. The specificity of this vaccine is that it is monovalent, therefore directed against a single variant, the one currently circulating. »
And this concerns in particular the variant Eris which is most detected in France.
Avoid serious cases in the most vulnerable people
The situation is certainly not dramatic, but this targeted vaccination helps prevent the emergence of serious cases among the most vulnerable.
“ Normally, the people targeted are the same people as those who were during previous campaigns, that is to say all people over 65, people with a certain fragility, pregnant women, but also children from six months. We, pharmacists, have the possibility of vaccinating children from 5 years old », specifies the pharmacist.
Exceptionally, healthcare professionals are authorized to vaccinate against Covid-19 and against flu at the same time, from October 2 to 17.
