“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Azaghdani to our clinical team and the community,” said Dr. Zeke Milkovic, the acting chief of staff.
“He is a great addition to CKHA and will help us further our commitment of delivering patient- and family-centered care to families in Chatham-Kent.”
After finishing his medical school training in Libya in 1993, Azaghdani completed a fellowship with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in the UK and a fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Azaghdani and his family lived in Newfoundland and Labrador before relocating to Qatar, where he practiced medicine for four years. They look forward to calling Chatham-Kent home.

Such a change can be challenging, he said, but they are eager to become part of the community.
“We are so grateful to have learned about Chatham. Although the process of moving your family across the globe can be daunting, we’ve been well supported,” he said. “I look forward to integrating our family into the community and serving my patients well.”
Referring physicians are encouraged to refer patients currently traveling out of town or on a wait list to Azaghdani to facilitate timely health care for those patients, the hospital added.
The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance team is comprised of approximately 1,400 staff, 200 physicians and 300 volunteers.
