Now Marco Evaristti has started a new art project in Copenhagen, writes Sydsvenskan. “And Now You Care” includes three sick piglets that would actually be killed, which Evaristti stops feeding, to make them starve to death. For three days they get water but no food.
Every day, over 20,000 pigs die. Here we do not count on those who are slaughtered. And now you care. Due to three piglets, Marco Evaristti tells Denmark’s radio.
The art project is a reaction to Denmark’s pig production, where sows give birth so many cults that there is no milk to everyone, and many cults therefore starve to death. The artist wants to get the Danes to boycott that type of pig production.
Visitors are offered to kill the pigs
Visitors are also offered to end the cultivation of the cults themselves, with a bolt gun.
The animal welfare organization Anima has reported the incident to the police. Even Denmark’s largest animal welfare association, Dyrenes’ reign, says that it will report to the police when the suffering of the pigs is deemed so great that it goes against the legislation, according to Politics.
