Hockey player Robin Press has chosen to sign a new contract with the KHL club Severstal Tjerepovets. He was recruited to the team last year, and made 55 appearances last season – and now chooses to extend. In the spring, Press played with Tre Kronor, but now there are doubts about whether he will be allowed to do so in the future. When Jonas Jerebko, Swedish basketball star, chose to sign for CSKA Moscow in the middle of the ongoing war, the Swedish national basketball team chose to suspend him from continued play.

And the criticism of Robin Press has immediately become enormous.

Lindgren has also started a poll where he asks if Press should be allowed into the national team, or a Swedish club team, again. And the result is overwhelmingly unanimous. As many as 88 percent, out of almost 600 votes, say “absolutely not”.
Many also believe that Robin Press, just like Jonas Jerebko, should have made his last international appearance for Sweden.
