The incident occurred at noon on July 30 in front of a shopping mall in Ha Tinh Province in northern Vietnam. Allegedly, Sinan Ergül (52) went to the shopping mall with his Turkish ship’s captain friend. Two friends leaving the mall began to wait for a taxi to return to the ship. At that time, Tran Van Son (24), who came to them by stealing a knife from the butcher, first attacked Ergül and then tried to attack his friend. While Tran Van Son was escaping the scene, his friend, who was with him, did the first aid to Ergül, who was covered in blood.

Medical teams were called to the scene, but Ergül lost her life. After the incident, Ergül’s friends who were with her caught the attacker. Two friends who called the police teams handed the suspect over to the police teams.
