Şevket Demirdöven, 41, living in Aydın, applied to the doctor in 2015 with the complaint of hip pain. Demirdöven was diagnosed with soft tissue cancer at the hospital. Doctors decided to operate after a long treatment period for Demirdöven, whose life turned into a nightmare.
14 SURGERY REMOVED WITH 10 HOURS OF OPERATION
The 15-centimeter tumor detected in Demirdöven’s spine and spinal cord was removed from the area where sensitive tissues and nerves were located, after a 10-hour operation by 14 surgeons.
Orthopedics and Traumatology Specialist Prof. Demirdöven coordinated the operation in which the 15-centimeter tumor in the waist region was removed. Dr. Dündar Sabah explained that a part of the spine was removed during the operation, the nerve roots and the system carrying blood to the main vessels were connected to open the movement area, the spinal cord was pulled to the side and the tumor was removed.
WILL BE DISCHARGED AFTER ONE WEEK
According to the news in Yeni Asır; In the morning, he stated that they saw that the nerves were working very well after the surgery. Sabah added that Demirdöven is in good health and that he is scheduled to be discharged a week later.
