A man from Novosibirsk, Russia, pierced his brain with a drill in order to control his dreams.

The man, who shared his post-operative images on a Twitter account with the username Michael Raduga, stated that he prepared himself for the process by watching the surgery videos of neurosurgeons.
While it was learned that Raduga is the founder of the organization called Phase Research Center, it was reported that the center has research and studies on out-of-body experiences, lucid dreaming and astral projection.

Raduga reportedly performed the surgery in an apartment.
Raduga said in a statement that he lost more than 1 liter of blood and nearly died, and claimed that the results of his surgery would hold “great hopes for future dream control technologies”.
It was learned that Raduga was taken to the hospital after the operation.
“I’m glad I survived, but I was ready to die,” Raduga told Mail Online.
