LOVE OF NAPOLI
La Porta, 60, who is said to be linked to the Naples-based Camorra mafia, was identified thanks to a photo taken during a celebration at a restaurant on the Greek island of Corfu.
According to the statement of the Italian carabinieri security forces, in the photos published on social media, La Porta was seen wearing a Naples scarf and hat.
“It was his passion for football and Napoli that betrayed him. La Porta could not resist the championship victory,” the statement said.
LA PORTA ARRESTED
Trapped by photographs and tracking financial transactions, La Porta was arrested last Friday.
According to reports in the Italian press, La Porta was caught on a moped on the island of Corfu.
It is stated that the runaway Italian has been a cook at a restaurant on the island for a while and started a family in Greece, and has a 9-year-old child.
